Nurtury Attends Early Education and Care Advocacy Day at the State House
March 4, 2025
Today, over 20 members of Nurtury Early Education joined our peers at the Massachusetts State House for Early Education and Care Advocacy Day.
We were proud to fill the Great Hall with a sea of gray Nurtury vests comprised of our Educators, Family Partners, Center-Based Program staff, Family Child Care support staff, Enrollment Coordinators, parents, and more!
Nurtury members met with state legislators to advocate for public funding supporting high-quality early education and care for children and families across the Commonwealth, particularly encouraging increased access to care for children whose families are on the income-eligible waitlist.
We are so grateful for all the legislators and members of their team who made time for us today!! Thank you to Bill Eddy of MADCA and Sharon MacDonald of Guild of St. Agnes for organizing such a great event!
We appreciated the opportunity to connect with so many friends in the field. Thank you to all the speakers – Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, Senate President Karen Spilka, Assistant Majority Leader Representative Alice Peisch, Senator Sal DiDomenico, Representative Ken Gordon, and Senator Mike Moore – for continuing to support and prioritize early education & care in MA!
